Este año el Halloween en Tenerife Mare Nostrum Resort ha sido muy especial, sobre todo para las unas vacaciones en familia. Los pequeños y no tan pequeños disfrutaron juntos de de muchas actividades, maquillaje terrorífico, decoración y lanzamiento de linternas y el ya famoso concurso de calabazas.

This year Halloween Mare Nostrum Resort in Tenerife has been very special, especially for family holidays. The younger and not so young enjoyed many activities together, scary makeup, decorations of lanterns and the now famous pumpkin competition.

En el concurso de “decora tu calabaza” participaron más de 20 familias que pusieron toda su creatividad y empeño en crear la calabaza más orinal y es que el premio lo merecía, ¡un viaje en el Lady Shelley para la familia ganadora! El premio fue a parar a una familia rusa, ¡enhorabuena!

In this competition «decorate your pumpkin» were more than 20 families involved. They put all their creativity and commitment to create the most original pumpkin. The prize was important, a trip on the Lady Shelley for the winning family! The award went to a Russian family, congratulations!

La palabra Halloween es una derivación del inglés, es una composición de All Hallows’ Eve (Víspera de Todos los Santos). El 31 de octubre se celebraba principalmente en los países anglosajones, como Canadá, Estados Unidos, Irlanda y el Reino Unido.
The word Halloween is a derivation of an English expression, is a composition of All Hallows’ Eve (Hallowe’en). The October 31 is celebrated in the mainly Anglo-Saxon countries such as Canada, U.S., Ireland and the UK.

Se dice que la noche de Halloween, la puerta que separaba el mundo de los vivos del Más Allá se abría y los espíritus de los difuntos regresaban a los pueblos en los que habían vivido.

It is said that Halloween night, the door between the living world of the Hereafter is opened and the spirits of the dead persons returned to the villages where they lived.

En esa noche los espíritus regresan a las casas de sus familiares. Para que los espíritus no les perturbasen los aldeanos debían poner una vela en la ventana de su casa por cada difunto que hubiese en la familia. Si había una vela en recuerdo de cada difunto los espíritus no molestarían a sus familiares, si estos no veían la vela les perturbaban por la noche y les hacían caer entre terribles pesadillas.

On this night the spirits return to the homes of their relatives. So that the spirits do not disturb the villagers had to put a candle in the window of their houses for each deceased they had in the family. If there was a candle in memory of each deceased, spirits would not bother them, if they did not see the candle at night they would disturbed them and made them fall in such terrible nightmares.

Un simpático vídeo que nos ha enviado uno de nuestros huéspedes de una clase de aquagym con Maquinaria Band en riguroso directo. Los huéspedes lo pasaron tan bien que incluso terminaron cantando las canciones con el grupo.

El pasado 17 de Septiembre despedimos el verano en Mare Nostrum Resort por todo lo alto…. ¡¡Celebramos la gran fiesta Bye Bye Summer, a la que acudieron aproximadamente 1000 personas!! ¡Y casi todas vestidas de Blanco!
On September 17th we had the Bye Bye Summer Celebration at Mare Nostrum Resort….We held a big party attended by about approximately 1000 guests! And almost all dressed in white!

Fue una noche realmente inolvidable, llena de sorpresas y muy buenos momentos.
It was an unforgettable evening full of surprises and very good moments.La Banda Mare Nostrum Cover Band tocó en la Pirámide de Arona para todos los transeúntes, más de 10 puntos de comida alrededor de la piscina del Cleopatra Palace y la inmejorable compañía de Los Salvapantallas que dieron para nuestros huéspedes un concierto inmejorable.
The Mare Nostrum Cover Band had a concert at the Pirámide de Arona for everybody walking on the street, more than 10 points of food around the pool at the Cleopatra Palace and the excellent company of Los Salvapantallas who gave our guests a unsurpassable concert.

No hay palabras para describir lo que vivimos …….. mejor compruébenlo ustedes mismos……

This Saturday 17th September will be a big day, we are saying goodbye to the summer it’s why the hotel is working hard, everything has to be ready to surprise you with a big party.

La actividad arranca a las 18:00h delante de la Pirámide de Arona con una GRAN GRAN BANDA MUSICAL, la MNR COVER BAND, compuesta por nuestro Chef Ejecutivo Andrés Juarez, Borja Suaza Director Artístico, Esteban Sedano Director General MNR, Ramón Sebastián Director de Bares, Leo Fraile Chef, Susana García Bustos Directora del SPA, Irene Mollos Rodríguez Bares y Alejandro Crespo Director de Alojamiento. Tocarán en vivo en el Wideowall de la Pirámide de Arona para todo el público que se encuentre en la zona comercial. Darán un concierto al aire libre… y esto sólo habrá sido el principio de una gran noche.
The activity starts at 6:00pm in front of the Pirámide de Arona with a GREAT BIG BAND, the MNR COVER BAND,made by our Executive Chef Andrés Juarez, Borja Suaza Artistic Director, Esteban Sedano General Manager, Ramón Sebastían Director of Bars, Susana García Bustos Diretcor of the SPA, Irene Mollos Rodríguez Bars and Alejandro Crespo Room Division Manager. They will play live at the Wideowall of the Pirámide de Arona for everybody that is in the shopping area. They are going to give an outdoor concert … and it will be only the beginning of a great night.
